The AKUWA conference in Vienna will start with an evening lecture given by Ben Jennings from the University of Bradford, School of Archaeological Sciences. Jennings will present the results of his study on cultural influences on the abandonment of the pile dwelling settlements.
In this he combined the evidence of material culture studies with occupation patterns and burial practices, to propose an alternative to the climatically-driven models of lake-dwelling abandonment.
Friday, November 3rd 2017, 7.00pm
Location: Lecture Hall 7, Institute of Prehistory and Historical Archeology, Franz Klein-Gasse 1, 1190 Wien
